In response to a pressing need in the industry, which wishes to see an increase in the number of Black actors capable of dubbing in Quebec, the Festwave Institute, created by the Fabienne Colas Foundation, successfully carried out, between March 11 and April 15, 2024, a first training workshop that brought together twelve participants and was held in the three main dubbing studios in Montreal: Difuze, Syllabes, and Cinélume. Given the success of this first experience and the interest it generated in the industry, a second cohort of twelve people will soon be formed for a workshop planned for the end of the current year. Actor, voice-over artist, and director Manuel Tadros will once again be the main trainer. Here is the list of the twelve UDA members who benefited from it:
